The Yard was founded in 2024 by Jonathon Wright and Joe Lucas
Both Owners of The Yard recognized a need and sought to obtain an indoor training facility in Brown County. Leveraging their experience in coaching and mentoring, they understood the specific needs of the community and saw a opportunity to provide a valuable service. By combining their expertise with their entrepreneurial spirit, they aimed to create a space where individuals could train and develop their skills regardless of the weather or other outdoor limitations. The initiative demonstrates their commitment to serving their community and supporting its growth and development.
THE FACILITY
THE YARD IS A 10,000 SQUARE FOOT HITTING FACILITY. OUR FACILITY FEATURES BATTING CAGES WITH OR WITHOUT PITCHING MACHINES. THE FACILITY IS HOME OF THE BROWN COUNTY OUTLAWS BASEBALL/SOFTBALL ORGANIZATION AS WELL AS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND TEAMS. MEMBERSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE
Our facility is to provide all baseball and softball loving people a place to hone in on their craft. It is a place to come, no matter the skill level, to get better at what you love. We are here to serve our communities youth.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of THE YARD SPORTS COMPLEX is to provide a very high level of instruction, competition, and an environment to learn who you are and what you can become as an athlete. We want to work with young athletes that aspire to play at the very highest of levels. Our teams play competitive baseball and softball and we expect commitments from players and their families.
